Happening Now: Mississippi Gulf Coast Biloxi Beach Classic Dog Show

The 10th Annual Mississippi Gulf Coast Beach Classic Dog Show is happening now through September 5 at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum. The show features over 600 dogs representing 197 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club will be competing for "Best In Show" and "Reserve Best In Show" daily.

The club will welcome the Biewer Terrier (Toy group), which makes its debut this year. The show will be held under the rules of the American Kennel Club and superintended by Foy Trent Dog Shows. In addition to Trick Dog and Canine Good Citizen testing, Junior Handler and National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS) competitions will also take place during all three days of the show. There will also be AKC 4 to 6-month Beginner Puppy Competition and a Pee-Wee event where children ages 5 to 9 will have the opportunity to show their dogs in the ring. Vendors will also be available with treats and supplies for your family's four-legged members.

Several specialty breed shows will also be held during the Classic, including the U.S. Australian Shepherd Assn., the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Assn., the Cajun Australian Shepherd Assn., the Boxer Club of Louisiana, and the Boston Terrier Club of Louisiana.

Due to space limitations, only dogs entered in the show will be allowed inside the building and no strollers or wagons are permitted.
